BUDA AREA

The Novatel hotel was a block from Danube and across from the Parliament with spectacular views day and night.

A mile walk took us to the Széchenyi Lánchíd bridge to the Pest side of the Danube.

A few blocks away from our hotel down Atilla street was Ste. Annes  Catholic Church which is a Baroque church built in the 1700s, with 2 towers & many paintings, including ceiling murals.  Note: our favorite creperie on the right.

Bicycle rentals are available for the adventurous.

On the way to Saint Annes we passed a Creperie where we had breakfast on most days.  The menu had more kinds of crepes than I could have imagined.  My favorite was cinnamon.  Weather permitting we ate outdoors and people watched while enjoyed our crepes and coffee Americano.

Another frequent stop was at the Vásárcsarnok shopping mall/grocery store where I bought pastries and Barb bought lunchmeat, bread and cheese for evening snack.

Views around Buda

Another favorite was a small Turkish restaurant for doner sandwiches, baklava and Turkish coffee (Barb had coffee Americano).
