We went to Niagra Falls, Ont. with our grandson and stayed at the Hilton hotel. The Hilton was disappointing. Concierges were brusque and could have been more helpful. We reserved a “falls view room” but upon examining it, there was not much of a view and since we could not smoke in the room, we opted for a “city view” room. Staying in the center of the tourist area, prices were quite high. We could have had a European vacation for about the same price. I would recommend staying farther out and taking the bus ($7.50 for 24 hours unlimited rides or $11.00 for 48 hours).
I would recommend the extra $ for the tour – avoided lines for tickets that had a 3 hour wait.
SIGHTS
Grandson loved the falls – “Best vacation ever” was his comment after taking the boat to Horseshoe Falls. I recommend the boat ride.

Walk under the falls was – under whelming on the Canadian side – looked better across the river on the US side.

Tower had some great views and ticket allowed return next day.
Butterfly Conservatory
Butterfly Conservatory was a few miles away but very enjoyable – Travel was economical via bus pass.
